The year 2019 was pretty major, ending on a high note with the release of Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled on June 21, 2019, it was a great year for video games, with another successful year with Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled, that came out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. These are the following scores for each independent platform on Metacritic: 83Â on PlayStation 4, 84 on Xbox One, and 80 on Nintendo Switch and on scored 83 with an 89% recommendation average on OpenCritic. There has been even more merchandise that had come out in 2019, including the Numskull CTR Lineup, Pyramid’s lineup of Crash merchandise, TUBBZ and more. Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled has received several patches and content updates in the form of Grand Prix monthly seasons since its release, the latest as of this writing currently running is Winter Festival, with January commencing the Rustland GP season.
This year wasn’t without its setbacks on the addition of Microtransactions (as well as the Fortnite-style structure of unlocking), lack of timely fixes for some serious issues related to the online component and some technical hiccups with the invisible walls and the collisions in the tracks, but that isn’t going to stop the game from being a notable and arguably a great release for 2019 for the series. Despite also not getting an announcement of a new game at The Game Awards 2019, it shouldn’t stop fans from waiting longer for the reveal.
Crashy News is now on its 8th year, in 2019, performance was stronger (and is on par with 2017’s) than in 2018, but the longevity was much better, continuing the much-needed boost from the announcement of Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled, going through the news, leaks, rumours, events and fandom creations. Crashy News has reached a total of 316K total views for 2019. The most viewed post has received 3,591 views (Mondelez International: In-Game Content Promotion for Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled Revealed via Sour Patch Kids and Trident Vibes). Let’s go in details over what happened and what has Crashy News has achieved this year.
