Quickies: The charts in UK, Germany, France and Spain, Livestream, “Bonus Edition” in Asia and more!

Well, if it ain’t for some of those bastards that called me the “lone wolf” (sigh), then I wouldn’t have batted an eye over the recent news.

Anyhow, we’ve got more news about the performance of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy on the new platforms, namely the Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

• In the most recent UK Charts for last week, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy has taken the #1 spot on the list overall. However, the Xbox One takes #2 spot with the Switch one taking the #3 spot in the individual charts. Nice going!
• In Spain for the June charts, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy on the Nintendo Switch took the #5 spot just shortly after its release
  • In the weekly charts, it took the #1 spot with 9300 units sold
• In France, the Nintendo Switch version of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy took the #3 spot for the 26th week after its release

• In Germany for the June charts, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy took the #9 spot
• Vicarious Visions has confirmed that a new developer commentary livestream will commence on July 11th at 8PM EST on Twitch
• Last year’s hit “WOAH” Green Screen Animation meme from Chris Patstone reached its first anniversary recently.
• Speaking of the “Bonus Edition” from Japan and other bits from Asia, it’s been officially confirmed that
  • From PlayStation Blog, that the package will cost ¥4900 yen w/ tax physically, while costing ¥5292 yen w/ tax digitially. Preorders have already begun since July 3rd and will arrive on August 2nd
  • The “Bonus Edition” has already arrived since July 6th in other Asian countries, judging from the PlayStation Store page.
  • Nintendo’s Japanese upcoming releases lists Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy as a game coming after October. It is still unknown if the Nintendo Switch version will be coming to Japan or if Nintendo or Sony will help publish alongside Activision.

Quickies: A new mug, new T-shirts, Switch inside-box’s emptiness and more!

Okay, the “lone wolf” faux-Australian accent Crash Bandicoot from Skylanders Academy is taking a break from writing these articles and thus is busy playing Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy on the PC for good measure. On that note, we’ve got even more news and showcases to talk about because it’s not just on, it’s “on-ner”… 😐

• EB Games Canada’s got a brand new mug with inside and outside prints of your standard Crash Bandicoot merchandise, nothing special but it is neat if you would like yourself a standard normal Crash mug from the store. You can preorder it for $12.99 CAD and it’s coming at the end of July. This item is by Surreal Entertainment.
• “Game Store” in Peru has apparently revealed some brand new “official” T-shirts for Crash Bandicoot that are available in their store, we’re not sure if these are making it out of that store but my gut says that it’s likely going to make it to most countries in Asia and Europe. Perhaps even in North America if we’re lucky with those Amazon store listings.

• Apparently, people like Gieniowski who got the Switch version of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy aren’t too happy about the inside-box of the game’s case, where there’s barely anything written on it. Just a white slab of paper with little notes about online manuals and support, and so do many other people agree on this, garnering at about 14K upvotes and spreading around on other gaming news sites.

• The Wumpa Gem has made an early build of his own Crash-themed font that tries to mimick the original typography found in the Naughty Dog trilogy of Crash Bandicoot games
  • He also pointed out that Vicarious Visions has also updated the credits of NST to add more people in the special thanks section, which now has people like Charles Zembillas, Joe Charles and David Siller. This applies to all versions.

Quickies: The summary of miscallenous things that happened over the weekend

• COGMONKEY has progressed with his modding attempt of replacing the level’s music on NST PC, now with N. Sanity Beach and Slippery Climb/Stormy Ascent by adding pre-console music per request.
• Coco and Tawna model ripping has just begun by somebody else other than RandomTBush and Apoc Hedgie by Nitro
  • Although Tawna does look suggestive, don’t you think? 😉

Dear Vicarious Visions: I am still frustrated. [OPINION PIECE]

2017 was the year of the bandicoot’s return and many 3D Platformers returning. The case with the bandicoot, however, is that talking about the remakes has become a case of frustration rather than excitement, because of the accuracy, nitpicks, controls, faithfulness, worrisome decisions when developing the game.

Asking the fans about Crash Bandicoot (Fourth Wave – Multi-Interview)

Today is the fourth day for the special multi-interviews for Crash Bandicoot on Crashy News, it is quite important to note that the format may fluctuate and change over time from deadlines, structure and publications, so keep that in mind.
