Nintendo eShop: “Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time” is now up for preorder/pre-purchase

Earlier today, it was revealed by Activision that the game will be coming to the Nintendo Switch, in which went up for preorder shortly afterwards on the eShop. Here’s the scope:

• According to the CDN listing, the game weights at between 9.3-9.4 GB (or 9582 MB to be precise)
  • Said CDN listing was uploaded about a week ago, and seems like it does support video capture
• The game does support local multiplayer modes found in the console version of the game, although none of these are simultaneous, so you will be waiting for turns.
• The game’s eligible for 200 points earned after purchase.
• It will be playable at 1080p docked and 720p handheld, both running at 30fps!

  • Also supports surround sound (Linear PCM)
• Get the game digitally and get the Totally Tubular Skins for Crash and Coco, which unlocks upon completion of the second level

[LINKED] Nintendo Life: “Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time” runs on Nintendo Switch natively at 30fps, “It’s a big undertaking”

Studdert spoke about how the game will run on Nintendo’s machine, saying:

“The team itself has taken the game and basically done tuning to make sure that it works on the Nintendo Switch, and making sure that it works on the go, works docked and undocked. It’s 720p when undocked, and 1080p when docked. Frame rate is 30.”

When asked what was the most challenging aspect of getting it running on Switch, Studdert replied:

“I mean it’s the same challenge as bringing it to any console, honestly. There’s just so much content in the game. There are so many levels, there are so many different ways of playing, there’s all these different things to make sure work. So for our engineers, our artists, our QA team, just making sure that it’s a seamless transition, and it performs as well as it did on the consoles we originally launched with. It’s a big undertaking.”
