Mr. Crash: Crash Team Racing Mod – OnlineCTR A New Crash Team Racing Experience [First Showcase]


Yes, online mode in Crash Team Racing is already a reality. In development by Niko since October 2019, it’s finally stable enough for a video, but still an early WIP prototype.

Two players can choose any characters on any track, to drive around and race each other. Niko and I tested the multiplayer, while 4000 miles apart, it lags much less depending on distance.

Bonus features include Oxide in Character Selection, pressing F10 for randomized characters + tracks, and pressing F9 for battle tracks.

Please read the on-screen directions in OnlineCTR.exe carefully, most common cause of crashing is when someone forgets to Press F1 and F3 (save state and then immediately load) before injecting the mod (by entering PID).

v19 has experimental support to automatically work with any emulator, prior versions only worked with ePSXe 2.0.5. Oxide character selection is still only for ePSXe 2.0.5 until further notice.

Somehow I thought that I’d like to make Crash 1 mods a few days ago.
This is the first Crash 1 mod I made and was made in the shortest period of time (took 3 days).

ARD: Arctic Antics remake and download (Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy PC Modding)


A few months ago I saw some people on the Crash reddit talking about whether or not it would be possible to remake levels from the Wrath of Cortex in the N. Sane Trilogy and I thought it sounded like an interesting challenge so I tried making a couple of mockups of an Arctic Antics remake before realising I still had a long way to go with my level editor before it was ready to handle a big project like that. But I’ve spent a lot of time working on the editor since then, with the intention of giving Arctic Antics another shot once I thought I would be able to make it just using the editor without any manual editing of the files. So after a considerable amount of blood, sweat and tears, I present to you a custom N. Sane Trilogy level that is significantly more complicated than my last release, and was made entirely within the level editor:

Mr. Crash: Crash Team Racing Mod – Mod Menu [Preview/WIP] by Niko


Another amazing work made by Niko.

The first version of this custom debug menu is ready. This replaces the end-of-menu function for Crystal Challenge. The Crystal Challenge DLL has one function in it, to draw the end-of-race menu. It’s the smallest DLL in the game. The mod works by replacing that DLL with the one Niko made.

The DLL and instructions for installation are in the zip file. The DLL that Niko built is 100% custom, compiled from source, and not a modification of the original. There is a lot of potential for expanding the menu, it can be programmed to do absolutely anything, not just activating cheat codes.

This was built in 4 hours, and was only tested enough to consistently work the first time you enter the menu. All of this was possible thanks to a big project the CTR community is working on. It will be announced soon.

Known bugs:

  • Pausing the game before finishing the Crystal Challenge, and then trying to pause it during the mod menu will mess it up.
  • Because this mod menu replaces the end-of-race menu, it’s impossible to unlock purple CTR tokens with the menu mod.
  • Entering twice will cause a soft lock, unless you use a save state. Some minor audio bugs are known, but we do now know of any bugs.

Makes the TNT fly onto your head when you put it down, even if you are moving, as if you had driven into it:
