The year 2020 was pretty rough for everyone, despite the high mark of the release of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time on October 2, 2020, which was the first brand-new game in 12 years, on PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, as well as the reveal for “Crash Bandicoot: On the Run!” by King. These are the following scores for each independent platform on Metacritic: 85 on PlayStation 4, 83 on Xbox One and scored 85 with an 92% recommendation average on OpenCritic. Because of the Coronavirus pandemic, there has been a more limited amount of merchandise that had come out in 2020, including the Numskull Crash 4 Lineup, Pyramid’s lineup of Crash merchandise, and more. Crash 4 did not receive DLC, but has been speculated that it could in some shape or form (like in a PVP game, if rumours are to be believed), and we could see more happen around this year with the 25th anniversary of the franchise.
Crashy News is now on its 9th year! (10th anniversary in 2022), in 2020, the performance was the strongest its ever been, even better than 2017’s performance!
