The year 2020 was a mixed and negative year, despite the positives that has gotten. Still though, it hasn’t stopped the bandicoot from flourishing with the release of ‘Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time’, the first brand-new game in 12 years, which received with rave reviews and general fan praise and some mixed reception on a few aspects with the game. In addition, rumours of more projects on the way to make 2021 a more exciting year for the bandicoot, especially given the fact that it’s gonna mark the 25th anniversary for the series. This year sadly also marked the end of content update support for ‘Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled’ despite ending it on a high note with the Beenox Pack update back in March.
And finally, a brand-new mobile game is one of the first things that will launch globally on iOS and Android, ‘Crash Bandicoot: On the Run’ by King, finally putting Crash back on the map on mobile, since the debut of ‘Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 2’ in 2010, a sequel to CBNK 3D 😉.
Expect this year to bring the following things: Mobile game, PvP game, animated show, and Crash 4 ports for Nintendo Switch and PC. Maybe even joining Super Smash Bros Ultimate…
