Darkaiser / Mr. Crash: Crash Team Racing Mod – Ring Rally + SDK release

Niko started the CTR ModSDK back in March 2020 while being bored in the house during the Covid Pandemic. Out of all the things to do while bored, this happened.

This video shows Ring Rally, the latest mod created with the SDK. When it is finished, it will be playable on every track, and credit will be given to everyone who helps expand Ring Rally into something much larger than what is already done.

The ModSDK was an effort of the entire community (credits in the zip). Every researcher came together to document how Crash Team Racing works, with as much detail as possible, in every category imaginable.

They documented the engine, gameplay, physics, collisions, memory usage, overlays, audio, camera system, several file formats, and more. This ModSDK contains all the research we’ve had for every mod that has been shown on the YouTube channel.

The SDK has the source code to all of our mods, including some mods that have never been seen before. By downloading CTR ModSDK, people can compile the mods to run on four different versions of the game; Usa Retai, Europe Retail, Japan Retail, and Japan Kiosk Trial versions of the game are all currently supported, with documentation that explains how to build and run mods on each version.

With the release of the SDK, we hope to inspire a new wave of programmers to help build new mods, and keep the fun of Crash Team Racing alive.

If you’d like to donate, please donate on PayPal with Niko’s email, nprocopi2017@gmail.com, he has spent over $600 on CTR research so far.
