Hey everyone,
Since February of this year, Crashy News, the blog website dedicated to deliver news and updates around the Crash Bandicoot video game franchise and its community, has spun off into its own YouTube channel, and we’ve built a team that consults and contributes with each other in order to write, voice and edit lengthy informative videos for the channel while maintaining a regular pace.
We’ve enjoyed great success in little amount of time, but we’ve felt there’s room for improvement. When a new update comes, it generally takes us a week to treat it in video form with our structure involving multiple people, whereas individual creators can turn up videos on that same topic in less of a day, and the main cause of our as-considered “slow” process of video making is the tiring step of editing which has solely carried by one of our key members.
Today, as we’re restructuring our video making process in the hopes to turn up videos faster, we would like to lend the job of video editor to someone who would be willing to help out.
Here’s the following rules and guidelines if you want to be our new video editor in the Crashy News YouTube team:
- You must work on Vegas Pro, as we’ll provide the editing template file (in the .veg format) that you’ll use to start editing as well as the various resources that comes with it (introduction, endcard, inlaid logo, transitions, overlays, music, etc.)
- You’ll have to respect the channel’s video “dress up” and work around the overlays and inlaid logo given.
- You’re able to finish editing on a 10-minute video in less than two days once you’re given the script and the voice clips.
Please note that this is a volunteer position, it is not paid.
To get started, please head over to our contact page or give a heads-up to Motwera or WumpaGem over at Twitter.
