As of today (in anticipation of the long-awaited reveal for “Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time”), King has updated their Google Play Store page for “Crash Bandicoot Mobile” to lay out some new details about the mobile game, including new screenshots, and more, let’s get to the chase!
First, it’s officially confirmed that the name of the mobile game is “Crash Bandicoot: On the Run!”, confirming exactly the detail that was mentioned in our original post regarding the game. You can also check out our soft-launch post for the game as well if you want to get up to speed.
Second, new images got added to display the updated designs for Coco Bandicoot, Neo Cortex, and Scorporilla, we now even get to see Nina for the first time as well, sporting a similar but more stylized design akin to her appearance in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. These designs seem to be a mishmash of the new designs and the N. Sane designs, with their own flare, especially with how Cortex has his lower lips and his red eyes. Coco Bandicoot’s the same deal, although lacking the goggles that she’s sporting in the new designs. You can see the screenshots in the gallery at the end of this post.
Before I go onto the final set of details, I do want to mention that the game will require internet connection (contrary to the soft-launch version of the game), presumably to sync your data.
And finally, the new description expands further on the game with mentioning that you battle Nina as a boss battle, unlock skins, play multiplayer with friends, building a team and get high scores for the top leaderboard charts. In addition, pre-registering for the game will be open soon with a bonus to get the Blue Hyena Crash. In addition, while the scope of it is currently unknown, it does mention that there will “optional in-app purchases”, which is to be expected for a lot of these mobile games (and we did mention it in our overview video).
