On June 21, 2019, after a long wait and anticipation, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled was unleashed to the world with wide applause and positive reception. It was also a great launch for the franchise, being the best launch ever in the United States according to NPD!
Ever since the release, Beenox has continued to add more content, features and some fixes to the game up until March 26, 2020. We’re awaiting to see if there will ever be a final send-off update just like the end of Grand Prix updates with the Gasmoxia GP.
The game has now reached its 18th anniversary, which was released on Friday, June 21, 2019, has a Metacritic score of 83 on the PlayStation 4, 84 on the Xbox One, 80 on the Nintendo Switch, and an OpenCritic score of 83 with a recommendation rate of 89%.
