How would you improve the website experience for Crashy News? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Separate deal and discount news posts from the main news feed. Most people viewing a dedicated crash news site will own the games already. They are also not relevant to everyone’s region.

    1. Thanks for the feedback, I think I’ll have to slowly refine this aspect by messing around with the posts, and the categories over the coming weeks or months. For now, you’ll have to use this link (category) to get what you want.

Also, although the site is focused on NA/EU deals, I try my best to also post deals from other countries around the globe, since the site is visited by so many people from different continents around the world and it would be a disservice to not post a deal on the site. Not everyone is caught up with what’s available, from games, merchandise, to apparel, and I frankly don’t think everyone wants to deal with looking up this stuff themselves. It also serves as a good method of archival whenever its needed.

  2. I would get rid of doubled-up posts that are about the same topic but from a different source (e.g. different YouTubers who cover the same news)

Be more selective about what constitutes news. Not every YouTube video or blog post about Crash Bandicoot necessarily needs to be posted

Posts/videos/music/podcasts from official sources (e.g. Activision or Original ND team members) could be given some kind of border or something to help designate it as official

    1. Thanks for the feedback, BlueBandicoot

I’ll think about what I can do about some of these since I highly disagree with the 2nd point, especially that it contradicts with what I used to do and still do in the first place, especially when its either dry on news, or basically like a downtime period for the day or week.

      1. I think I’ll be trying to condense this into a new special post that would be posted later in the day, for those who want a quick and easy way to catch up with the news or other tidbits
      2. Again, continuing on from my introduction paragraph, I just would like to tell you that there are some slow or downtime days/weeks when there aren’t news happening. You can try to mitigate this by subscribing to the categories

      1. I’ll see what I can do about that, I’m most likely gonna indicate it as [OFFICIAL] or something similar if it comes directly from Activision (including studios) or Sony (this is already the case in categories). For ND people, I don’t think this is necessary since they’re not working on the franchise anymore (unless otherwise like with Josh Mancell)

      1. I mean they’re just suggestions as to what I would do but of course, it’s your website and you should do what you like! For the second point in particular, I say this because often there’s a lot of stuff posted out there and while a lot of it may be covered or reposted here on crashynews, not all of it is. So then, it leads one to ask the question — what’s the process for selecting what is and is not posted on the site? In any case, in the end – of course – it’s your decision.
