Yes, it is happening again. And also, this is indeed a Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled themed kart track and game show for this year’s event, unlike last year. The CMO of the Game Experience 2019 event, Roberto Fabri, has confirmed that the kart racing track will return, but during the initial announcement, he did not confirm if it was a Crash-themed kart track racing field.
That, thankfully, has been confirmed to be the case more recently. In the gallery, you can have a peek at the new kart racing track, which seems to have been relocated from last year’s location judging by the new map pictures as opposed to the initial render, the kart racing pictures are courtesy of Laís Fernandes on Instagram. The kart racing track is located at Experience Bay at #12, dubbed “Electric Kart for Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled”. Activision and Sony’s PlayStation brand of games will be present respectively at the event with Activision being Gameplay Arena 2 at #7 and PlayStation being Gameplay Arena 1 at #3.
On top of all of this, it will also be presented on the Gameplay Stage by Samsung Odyssey in the Gameplay Arena 1 locale at #1, dubbed “Influencers Cup: Crash Bandicoot Racing”, which is happening on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 3:00PM BRT (2:00PM EST). It is currently unconfirmed if the game itself will be playable at either the Activision or PlayStation Gameplay booths, but it is likely either one of them will be featuring the game.
This event is organized mainly by Rock in Rio and Globo group at the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Park, featuring multiple attractions and events dubbed as a “Game Park”. This event will begin on Thursday, July 25, 2019, and commence on Sunday, July 28, 2019.
Expect videos featuring the racing track to come out soon, but judging from the images displayed below, it seems to have been dramatically upgraded with lots more flare to it.
