Oh my Gosh! That has to be one of the funniest miss-translations i’ve ever heard! It’s supposed to be “Storm Castle”.
あらしの こじょう/ Old Stormy Castle is actually the Japanese name of Slippery Climb! Someone messed up!
きんみらいステージ / Kinmirai Stage is actually “Near Future Stage”, the JP name of Future tense.
Perhaps they relied on Google translate…

I hope you don’t mind the fact that I do not speak Japanese at all, have to rely on you and a few others who do, mostly Google Translate most of the time…

You’re fine, don’t worry. Sega actually screwed up to, originally they put in “Slippery Climb” instead of “Stormy Ascent” in the description, although the level names basically mean the same thing in japanese (from the little I understand). I’m not good with japanese myself, but I can kinda read two of their three alphabets. Using sources like the Crash wiki and Romaji Desu can help if you need them. Multiple translation sources can also help you get a rough idea of the meanings.

Also: If you are ever afraid of translating Japanese names/ Proper nouns (Like titles or Game names), Romaji Desu also offers literal, consonant translations too, so you can use the literal phonetics if you need to.
So クラッシュ・バンディクー
can be literal: kurasshu bandikū
Or is fully translated as: Crash Bandicoot
