Notes about Shawn Layden’s comment about being forbidden from saying 2 words

My take:

Shawn is poking fun at the hype surrounding Crash being at E3, well, it isn’t much of a tease around, I listened to the podcast and he was referring to the localization job that he started in 1997 for Shuhei Yoshida’s work for Crash being brought from west to east (Japan).

JB’s take:

That was the biggest no-substance comment to be counted as a ‘tease’ yet.

I don’t know how people got “I’m not allowed to mention it until E3” out of that.

THAT BEING SAID — I believe we’re being worked by Shawn. It’s all a giant work. By saying “I’m forbidden to mention the title” he’ll inevitably drum up more noise revolving around that name, than if he had just offhandedly said “Crash Bandicoot” — which he would have been more than justified in doing, since in context, he was CLEARLY referring to Shuhei Yoshida’s work on localizing Crash Bandicoot circa 1996-1998, not a new game.

Shawn is a great heel He’ll turn babyface at E3

“But Motwera, what does this all mean?”

The things he said right now? not much, but we already know that it could happen 😛
