Universal Studios’s* 1997s Live Action Crash TV Show.. that never saw the light of day

Oh hey,

JumpButton has uncovered an interesting revelation from the 1997s, where there was an attempt to make a Live Action show for Crash (Could of looked like the commercials)

Anyways, here’s what Grant (Writer?) had to say about the show:

Hi, JB,

The project never happened. It was back in the 90s, at the height of the Crash phenomenon, and Universal had some sort of a relationship with Naughty Dog as I recall. Anyway, they hired me to develop a concept for taking it to series. I liked the ads at the time — with the actor in the big Crash costume — something surreal about it that I thought caught the anarchic spirit of the character, so that was the way I went: live action, not animation. No idea why the project was dropped but that was all that ever came of it.

Cheers,

Grant

it came from this thread on CM Forums

I gotta note that this article may need some changes, if you feel that I should change few things in it, just let me know

*Note: is it now called NBCUniversal Studios
